[WATCH] Rappler Live Jam: Carousel Casualties

MANILA, Philippines – Carousel Casualties is performing on Rappler Live Jam!

The band was originally founded by frontman/main songwriter Emmanuel Villegas with his college friends, but only took off after he reformed it with Pauline Villanueva on vocals and guitars. Rounding up the lineup are Jot Nicanor on bass, Ryan Pineda on drums, and new addition Earl Garcia on synths and additional bass.

Known for the indie-rock and garage rock inspired sound, Carousel Casualties has since released an independently produced EP, Madison, as well as several singles that have become fan favorites.

Among there more popular tracks are “San Junipero” (yes, inspired by the Black Mirror episode), “Safety”, “She’s a Mystery”, “Flats”, and “Leona”, among others.

The band recently released their newest single, “Always”, a love song inspired by the ill-fated but undying love of Severus Snape for Lily Potter in the Harry Potter books.
