On the fence about getting DisneyLife for the kids in your life? Here's what you'll get out of the app too!

MANILA, Philippines – Disney just released the DisneyLife app in the Philippines and they’ve promised hours of Disney-related content at our fingertips.

Of course, most of the content is targeted towards kids, but if you can create 6 profiles per membership for use on 10 different devices, we couldn’t help but wonder – what’s in it for the grown-ups?

Below are a few things that the moms and dads, titos and titas can look forward to enjoying on DisneyLife while the kids are distracted with Mickey and the Roadster Racers:

Movies

There are over 350 movies on DisneyLife, including the entire Star Wars prequel trilogy, two of the Star Wars original trilogy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Avengers, and Iron Man 3, Inside Out, Frozen, The Good Dinosaur, and many more.

Disney Life also carries movies like Maleficent and Pirates of the Caribbean, alongside classics like The Lion King and Mulan. Also on our binge-list: The Princess Diaries, Freaky Friday, and The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

Disney Channel original movies

You can now rewatch the movies you used to watch on TV as a kid – High School Musical is on DisneyLife, along with Camp Rock and Princess Protection Program.

TV series

DisneyLife has over 5,000 episodes from Disney shows and it has a livestream of the Disney Channel, DisneyXD, and Disney Jr. Aside from cartoons for kids, there are cartoons for grown-ups too.

On the roster for ready-to-watch episodes are the Duck Tales reboot, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Big Hero 6 The Series, Tangled The Series, Phineas and Ferb, and Star Wars Rebels.

For those of us who grew up with titles like Lizzie McGuire, Kim Possible, and That’s So Raven, all of those episodes are available for binge-watching too.

Movie soundtracks

Music from Frozen, Moana, Coco, High School Musical and more will be available through the app – perfect for singing and dancing along to on your own or with energetic toddlers.

Behind-the-scenes footage

Most of Disney’s behind-the-scenes footage is available online through their social media channels, but on DisneyLife, you’ll get the movie and the “Behind the Magic” segments in one place.

Disney and Pixar’s shorts

Disney and Pixar’s animated shorts are a part of the Disney movie experience at this point. Shorts like “Paperman,” “Partly Cloudy,” “Lava” and “Piper,” which are now classics in their own right, are now available through DisneyLife.

Looking for something but couldn’t find it on the app? Executive Vice President and Managing director of The Walt Disney Company South Asia Mahesh Samat told Rappler that they are looking to put more content on the app and are updating their catalog with more content as soon as they come out.

For the newer movies, there’s a 12-month wait between theater release and availability on DisneyLife. – Rappler.com

DisneyLife is available on the App Store and on Google Play for P399. Those who subscribe through Globe can get the app for P149 per month and a free trial for 6 months. Visit www.disneylife.ph for more information.
