MANILA, Philippines – Every athlete’s goal is to push their limits and get better at their sport. If they have to run barefoot, so be it. Their dream is there for the taking.
The MILO Little Olympics Finals was held last October 24 to 26 in Marikina City. The opening and closing ceremonies were held at the Marikina Sports Complex.
It was an eventful sporting event as champions from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and NCR gathered for one last push for glory to place in the top 3.
Sports the young athletes vied for include swimming, basketball, gymnastics, athletics, table tennis, football, chess, scrabble, badminton, sepak takraw, taekwondo, tennis and volleyball.
Since 1988, the MILO Little Olympics (MLO) has given the kids in the elementary and secondary level the opportunity to excel in their respective sports and compete with delegates from around the Philippines. It’s also a venue to meet and build relationships with other athletes from different backgrounds.
