Kathryn Bernardo and Bea Valdes are #BestBeautiful

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – “Beauty is power,” declares new Olay #BestBeautiful ambassador KC Concepcion, “but what’s difficult is to be the child of an artista.” 

A star on her own right but still someone who had to step out of the long shadow cast by her famous parents, KC Concepcion is a woman who had to struggle to come into her own. “I didn’t know who I was. What I knew was what people told me to be.” It took some time and a great deal of experience, including the bad kind, but now KC is someone who lives on her terms. No more compromises. No more apologies. Now she is at her #BestBeautiful. 

One may not be a celebrity like KC, but we’ve all been through similar trials. People tell us what to be, how to act, who to date. And instead of empowering us, these expectations frustrate us. Out of fear or maybe to avoid disappointment, we give up and say, “Puwede na ‘yan.” 

Olay then challenges us to move away from this way of thinking and to defy these limitations to become our #BestBeautiful.

On November 11, Olay unveiled two new ambassadors with equally inspiring stories to tell – teen queen Kathryn Bernardo and renowned designer Bea Valdes. 

The 18 year-old star displayed wisdom beyond her years by opening up about rejection and failure. While mother of two Bea Valdes talked about the design process as a metaphor to her own life  – how it is a continuous work in progress. And everyday a woman must say, “Tomorrow, a little bit better.”
