BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – The best of Negros Island will be highlighted once again during 30th Negros Trade Fair from September 16 to 20 at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City.

The Negros Trade Fair showcases the ingenuity and creativity of the Negrenses in terms of art, design, and culture. It was hailed as one of the top 3 fairs in Makati and the longest running trade fair in the Philippines.

This year, the non-profit program of the Association of Negros Producers, Incorporated (ANP) will have the theme, “Truly Negros,” where small and medium entrepreneurs can exhibit their ingenuity in furniture, gifts, housewares, garments, fashion accessories, food, natural and organic products, and tourism.

The fair will feature over 80 selling booths.

ANP represents and promotes the interests of producers based in Negros. ANP is also behind Bulawan Awards, an annual product design and competition that recognizes the outstanding products of its members.

The event will launch a new mobile game application called “Kabalo Ka,” Hiligaynon term for “Did you know?” The game will test a user’s knowledge of some of the province’s attractions, such as lfestivals, food, places, and people.

Other features like the interactive art wall, sugar photo exhibit and installation, and hourly electronic raffle will impart a “Truly Negros” experience to the audience.

Among the highlights of the Negros Trade Fair is the “Arima! The Governor’s Night,” a special preview and cocktails on September 15. Expected guests are government leaders, industry partners, sponsors, and the media.

Also on this night, it will bring 5 of the most celebrated Negrense chefs – Margarita Fores, Tonyboy Escalante, Fernando Aracama, Cyrille Soenen, and JP Anglo – to showcase the flavors of Negros.  

The MassKara Night, which is set for September 18, will feature one of the world’s most colorful festivals and the pride of this city. Bacolod will recreate its famous festival at Glorietta with a display of happy and smiling masks and a performance of MassKara dancers.
