MANILA, Philippines – Rappler is growing, and with this growth comes the desire to find new people to join us in moving the world.

1. Community Engagement Strategist

A Community and Civic Engagement Strategist is responsible for community-building and engagement efforts, as well as brand reputation management of the organization. S/He will work with a team of fellow Community and Civic Engagement Strategists and will interface with other units within Rappler and communities outside.

Core duties and responsibilities:

Plan and organize online and on-ground social media, citizen journalism and community-building events

Create and produce digital content geared towards audience growth and community engagement

Monitor and report the outcome of audience and civic engagement efforts

Attend to the logistics of group meetings and contribute to the logistical preparations of events, workshops, and other ground activities

Identify leaders in communities for self-organization and advocacy campaigns

Propose and write reports/stories related to data and information gathered

Design and implement online and on-ground content marketing campaigns aimed at engaging communities in smart conversations

Facilitate the execution of approved grants and partnerships. Monitor progress and timelines, and submission of reports needed.

Populate, maintain and grow Rappler channels

Any other related functions within the terms of employment

Qualifications:

Communication graduate with a background in and/or passion for journalism, community management, campaign development, and online and on-ground engagement

Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills – from content production to engaging Rappler’s audience across various platforms

Strong analytical skills. Can work with data and analytics

Leadership skills and strong ethical standards are a must. S/he must have the ability to organize communities, deliver reports, and make recommendations for adjustments if necessary

Interested in best practices and strategy for digital platforms and has an understanding of the dynamics of civil society groups and/or government operations

Agile. Ability to adapt fast to ever-changing technology and workflows

2. Ad Trafficker

Who you are:

You are an experienced, mature and dynamic self-starter who is passionate about operational efficiency and excellence and who desires to grow his/her career in digital advertising operations. You are passionate about working closely with your manager to rapidly improve the efficiency of the team and generate higher yields from our digital ad program. You are not afraid of hard work and are ready to be part of a rapidly changing and demanding online advertising environment.

The Role in a Nutshell:

As an Ad Trafficker, you are a specialist and consultant to various internal and external stakeholders for all advertising formats’ specifications, guidelines, and turnaround times on Rappler.com as well as on our programmatic buying platforms, and you are the go-to-person for conversion and research tracking implementations. You play a crucial role to Rappler’s bottom line by providing best in class service and solutions to both internal and external customers and in ensuring our advertisers’ ads are correctly placed on our site and programmatic channels. We rely on your initiative, creativity and analytical abilities to generate efficiency ideas and best practices from your day to day encounters to help propel the team and business forward. We are looking for someone with an abundance of patience and initiative, who is ready to and capable of learning a highly technical skill to administer our Google DFP account.

This role reports to the programmatic manager.

Your Core Responsibilities:

Provide best in class service and solutions to Rappler’s internal and external customers e.g. sales, client development, planners, ad solutions, advertisers, agencies.

Receive and review online advertising materials from clients and ensure that they adhere to advertising specifications and guidelines.

Set up online advertising campaigns across Rappler network as well as on our programmatic platforms. This includes creative set up, testing and troubleshooting.

Perform QA on dynamic, rich media, HTML5 and video creatives.

Be a consultant to clients for conversion tracking implementation. Generate conversion tags and guide clients with implementation on their website.

Capture advertisements after they launch and provide screenshots of advertisements to clients.

Generate weekly reports and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure campaigns launch on time and revenue is maximized.

Troubleshoot and analyze third party discrepancies.

Display excellent project management abilities for all activities, ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are well informed throughout the entire process (by phone or email).

Be the go-to person internally and externally for any creative specs, guidelines and tracking related questions.

Assist Manager with projects as required.

Work closely with your manager and take an active role in identifying key business challenges and generating best practices or efficiency ideas to address challenges.

What You Will Need:

Degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of internet business/project management/operations/business analysis experience.

Digital Ad Operations experience desirable, preferably with DoubleClick tools.

In-depth knowledge of commonly used third party tracking or analytics platforms (DoubleClick, Google Analytics etc.) desirable.

Basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript

Strong attention to details, highly organized.

Great analytic skills. Excellent problem solver.

Comfortable working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Comfortable with a rapidly changing, fast paced and demanding online advertising sales environment.

Driver of operational efficiency and excellence.

2. Senior Content Strategist

Job description

This senior post plays a dynamic role in creating strategic campaigns with brands within the Rappler space and looking at opportunities for brands to support Rappler's communities. 

This role will help continue shape native advertising and educate partners on its effectiveness in reaching their target audiences in Rappler.

Key Responsibilities 

Acquire new and manage existing accounts by looking at new opportunities to generate sales 

Lead strategy building for campaigns and Rappler products and services, being aware of current brand campaigns 

Knowledgeable with digital trends, platforms and performance analysis

Implement and ideate on new business models for the rappler group
Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients and build strong partnerships 

Handle full project management for each account - from ideation, presentation to publication

Support other tasks implemented by the sales department

Any other functions within the terms of engagement 

Requirements

Should have a background on Brand and Digital Marketing and some experiences in events management 

Knowledgable on Brand Management processes across the marketing mix (e.g. from brand positioning, insighting to segmentation of target audience profiles). 

Should have strong interpersonal, presentation, communication and analytical skills. 

Driven to achieve sales target, quality results and budget effectiveness 

Must be a team leader and team player 

Strong project management skills 

Candidate should be a good negotiator and have a good customer focus (both external as internal customers)

3. Media Management Specialist

Applicants must have a degree in Library and Information Science, a related field or similar work experience.
