Get ready to rock and roll with this band!

MANILA, Philippines – The Bloomfields are performing on Rappler Live Jam!

Made up of Rocky Collado, Lakan Hila, Louie Poco, and Dino Pascual, the rock and roll quartet has been in the music scene for quite some time now, building a following with their distinct ’60s sound.

The band regularly plays at various venues all over Metro Manila, and they have released 3 albums so far: The Bloomfields in 2007, which included 10 covers and 5 original songs, a Christmas album called Pasko Natin ‘To in 2008, and Hit The Ground Running, an all-original album, in 2011.

The band is set to drop another record, A Drop Into The Blue. The album, they said, is influenced by ’50s surf rock, the ’60s British Invasion, ’70s funk, ’80s new wave, and ’90s Britpop – a whole host of genres that they manage to blend together for a unique sound.

The album’s lead single, “One Time Nevermind,” was released on Spotify in May, and the full 10-track album will be launched on Saturday, June 15, at the Historia Bar in Quezon City.

Catch the band as they talk about their upcoming album, and perform some of their songs on Rappler Live Jam on Thursday, June 13. Bookmark this page or head to fb.com/rapplerdotcom. – Rappler.com
