CHVRCHES cancels Manila show
(UPDATED) An announcement from the band is posted on Ovation Productions' Facebook page

MANILA, Philippines  (UPDATED) – Indie electro-pop trio CHVRCHES has cancelled their upcoming Manila show, making the announcement through the Ovation Productions Facebook page on July 12.

The cancellation, they said, was “due to unforseen circumstances,” though they did not go into further detail.

“We’d like to apologize to all our fans that had already purchased tickets and we’ll be posting full ticket refund details here very soon,” they said.

The Scottish band was initially scheduled to play at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on August 13 as part of their Love is Dead Asia Tour 2019.

The show would have been CHVRCHES’ 3rd time in the Philippines – the first was in 2014 for a solo concert, and the second was back in 2016 for the GoodVybes Fest.

CHVRCHES is comprised of members Martin Doherty, Iain Cook, and Lauren Mayberry and is best known for songs, “The Mother We Share,” “Miracle,” “Get Out,” and their recent collaboration with DJ Marshmello, “Here With Me.” – Rappler.com
