WATCH: First look at Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’ series

MANILA, Philippines – Finn Jones may have exited Game of Thrones in a grand, fiery fashion, but now, he’s back in a new badass role: Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist.

The first teaser for the Netflix series featuring Iron Fist was unveiled at the Luke Cage panel at Comic-Con, July 21, Thursday (July 22, Friday in Manila). Here, not only Luke Cage was featured – but the rest of the Defenders, too. (READ: Interview: Who is ‘Daredevil’ star Charlie Cox?)

In the teaser, there’s a look at Danny Rand’s tragic past as a plane crashes. He gets picked up eventually by monk-like figures, who are probably denizens of K’un-L’un, the so-called City of the Immortals. There, he eventually trains in the martial arts on his way to become the superhero known as Iron Fist.

It cuts to a present scene, where Danny looks disheveled as he is strapped to a hospital bed. Suddenly, he breaks through the wall, unleashing himself into the streets of New York City.
