Molten lava cakes are best enjoyed freshly-baked from the oven, warm to the touch, soft enough to cut through, and a sight to see as the molten chocolate lava starts to ooze out into your plate.

Although a dine-in experience would be ideal, home bakery Graffiti Desserts has a lot of lava to give sweet tooths from their kitchen in Mandaluyong City. Graffiti’s molten lava chocolate cakes come in 4 different flavors: salted caramel, milk chocolate, white chocolate, and ruby chocolate.

Graffiti’s lava cake is only palm-sized, so it’s not as hefty as some restaurants would have theirs. Since its a decadent chocolate dessert though, the size may just be enough to curb a sweet craving (hopefully)!

The chocolate cake’s crisp exterior holds a moist, soft, and fudgy cake, surprising customers with a silky river of chocolate sauce that seamlessly flows out of the cake after your first cut.

Graffiti’s Onyx flavor (P250) is considered the classic choice, although the filling isn’t made from dark chocolate – it’s a sweet milk chocolate sauce instead. The Ivory flavor (P250) is Graffiti’s white chocolate variant, which fans of the creamy, milky choc might enjoy.

The Ruby (P300) is considered the “4th type of chocolate,” with a slightly tangy aftertaste reminiscent of berries, while the Gold (P300) has “liquid gold” as its surprise center – a thick, salted caramel sauce that tastes like melted toffee candy, with hints of burnt sugar and salt.

Each lava cake comes with a free cup of Graffiti’s homemade creme anglaise, a light vanilla custard used as a pourable dessert cream (which also adds another milky layer to the dessert) – however, the lava cake is good enough to be enjoyed on its own.

They’re delivered in cute, individual boxes, ready to be eaten if still warm upon delivery. If you want your lava cake warmer, you can pop it in a preheated oven (150 degrees Celsius) for about 5 minutes, or in the microwave for 10 to 15 seconds. The melted filling will be good to go by then.
