Miss World journey over for PH bet Valerie Weigmann

MANILA, Philippines – Despite a good Miss World run this 2014, the journey is over for Philippine bet Valerie Weigmann, who did not make it to the top 10 at coronation ceremonies on Sunday, December 14. She did, however, make it to the top 25.  

Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss was later announced the winner, with Miss Hungary and Miss United States in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. 

These are the top 10, in order of who was leading at the moment. 

1. India 
2. South Africa
3. England 
4. Guyana 
5. Brazil
6. Hungary
7. Kenya 
8. United States
9. Mexico 
10. Australia

The People’s Choice award went to Miss Thailand, and she joined the top 10 onstage, making it a final 11.

The scores after the top 10 announcement were reset back to zero.  

The top 5 were then announced:

• Hungary
• Australia
• South Africa  
• United States 
• England
