Lou Williams wins back-to-back NBA Sixth Man of the Year

The Los Angeles Clippers star joins Jamal Crawford as the only players in NBA history to win the award thrice

MANILA, Philippines – Lou Williams has made a living off the bench, and he proved he is the best to do it by bagging another Sixth Man of the Year in the 2019 NBA Awards on Monday, June 24 (Tuesday, June 25, Philippine time). 

The Los Angeles Clippers star won for the second straight year and joined Jamal Crawford as the only players in NBA history to seize the award thrice.

Despite starting in only one game for the Clippers last season, Williams still averaged 20.0 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.0 rebounds as he beat out teammate Montrezl Harrell and Indiana Pacers' Domantas Sabonis. 

Harrell normed 16.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks; while Sabonis averaged 14.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists. – Rappler.com
