LOOK: Nintendo’s new special edition gold Family Computer
The special edition Famicom Mini is a collaboration with Japanese manga magazine 'Weekly Shonen Jump,' which is celebrating its 50th anniversary

MANILA, Philippines – Following the announcement of the NES Classic and Famicom Mini resuming sale this June, Nintendo unveiled a special edition gold-colored Famicom Mini exclusive to Japan.

The miniature console features 20 games based on manga to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Weekly Shonen Jump, the magazine that printed manga titles such as One Piece and Boruto. Some of the games to come preloaded include multiple Dragon Ball, Kinnikuman, and Fist of the North Star titles among a few others.

Nintendo has a Japanese promo for it on YouTube:

First released in 1983, the Famicom, short for Family Computer, is a video game console that was home to beloved gaming classics like Donkey Kong and Super Mario Bros. Nintendo brought it back as a miniature console in 2016 with the Famicom Mini featuring the same 8-bit games that came packed with the original NES Classic.
