Gamescom convention will launch in Singapore in 2020
Gamescom Asia will be held in Singapore from October 15 to 18, 2020 at the Suntec Singapore Convention Center

MANILA, Philippines – Organizers of European gaming convention Gamecom are working on setting up an edition of the convention for Asia.

The appropriately-titled Gamescom Asia will be held in Singapore from October 15 to 18, 2020 at the Suntec Singapore Convention Center.

According to Gamescom Asia’s website, the event is touted as a “premier platform for Asian game developers to explore partnerships globally, and a hub for international publishers who are looking for the next big thing in games.”

As with Gamescom, the convention will have an industry side with a conference and talks as well as a public side, where trade partners and the gaming public can interact and check out the latest the gaming world has to offer, from workshops, to game demonstrations and exhibitions, to esports and cosplay events.

Gamescom is a big deal for European game fans, as the convention attracted more than 370,000 people – including 31,200 trade visitors – to its venue in Germany in 2018.

Another Gamescom convention is slated for August 20 to 24 of this year at the Koelnemesse in Germany. – Rappler.com
