WATCH: For those of us who travel
We don’t only visit the places we go to but also the people we meet there, and it’s important to reflect on the beauty we experience while we travel back to the places that give us so much

MANILA, Philippines – Travel is often a romanticized word, conjuring visions of exotic places and eliciting wistful looks in the faces of people who consider its possibility.

It’s why there’s never a scarcity of reasons to go and “see the world,” as many of us often say. Although, there’s no real need to explain why anybody would want to explore.

The world is filled with beautiful places that almost seem like they’re made to make people dream of going to see them.

The Philippines is one such place, and I dreamed of going to all the places I once only saw in pictures. I’ve since visited all of those places and each one gave me part of a valuable discovery that I think is worth sharing. It’s simply that the places we go out to see also see us in return.

We don’t only visit the places we go to but also the people we meet there, and it’s important to reflect on the beauty we experience while we travel back to the places that give us so much.

It’s not an obligation, it’s just a way to say thank you for the privilege of sharing the piece of heaven we also call home. – Rappler.com
